Job Title: Pharmacy Assistant

We are a fast growing independent pharmacy in Mississauga, dedicated to providing exceptional service to our community. We are looking for a friendly, energetic, and experienced pharmacy assistant to join our team.

As a Pharmacy Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our pharmacy team. You’ll assist in delivering exceptional customer service, ensuring smooth pharmacy operations, and maintaining a well-organized workspace. Roughly 37 hours per week. Saturdays required. Applications will only be accepted online.

Key Responsibilities

- Greet and assist customers in a friendly, professional manner.
- Handle transactions, including cash register operation and payment processing.
- Answer customer inquiries or direct them to the pharmacist as needed.
- Stock shelves, organize inventory, and perform inventory counts.
- Prepare and label medications for pharmacist verification.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy workspace.
- Assist in ordering and receiving stock.
- Adhere to confidentiality standards and ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations.

Qualifications

- Proficiency Fillware pharmacy software an asset
- Previous experience in a pharmacy or retail setting is required; on-the-job training is provided.




- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications:

- Hands-on experience with prescription processing and patient profile management

- Explicit and professional communication skills, both verbal and written

Assets

- Experience with billing and adjudication for private insurance plans and ODB
- Experience with Fillware pharmacy management software
