Duties

- Greet patients and customers warmly, creating a welcoming atmosphere for all visitors
- Process payments accurately using pharmacy point-of-sale systems, ensuring correct billing for prescriptions and over-the-counter products
- Verify prescription details and insurance information in collaboration with pharmacy staff to facilitate smooth transactions
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with privacy regulations
- Assist with inventory management by organizing supplies and notifying staff of low stock levels




- Support pharmacy technicians and pharmacists with administrative tasks, including data entry and filing
- Uphold cleanliness and organization at the cashier station to promote a professional environment

Skills

- Previous experience working in a hospital or healthcare setting is highly desirable
- Experience as a pharmacy technician or familiarity with pharmacy operations enhances your effectiveness in this role
- Strong patient care skills, demonstrating empathy and clear communication to assist diverse populations
- Ability to handle medication administration procedures when required, understanding safety protocols
- Excellent attention to detail to ensure transaction accuracy and compliance with regulations
