Come build a rewarding career at Rogers and be a driving force behind our success story!Reporting into the Director, Internal Reporting, the Senior Manager plays an important role in driving key stakeholder information within Rogers. The successful candidate will leverage strong technical accounting, data management and communication skills to ensure accuracy and timeliness of Legal Entity reporting and IFRS16 accounting.What you'll do:Ensure complete, accurate and timely company wide Real Estate and Lease accounting, reporting and analysis, including reporting under IFRS16Lead budgeting and forecasting process to translate rent expense into IFRS16 income statement and balance sheet impactsManage key vendor relationships for external service providers associated with real estate portfolioProvide support to CRE Business Managers, assisting with data analysis and investigationAssist with the financial accounting and financial reporting cycle for Telecom (Wireless, Residential and Rogers Business) as part of Consolidated reporting packagesReview variance analysis on balance sheet and income statement on a monthly basisPreparation of regulatory and statutory reporting for Wireless and CableReview monthly/quarterly account reconciliations and investigate/resolve issues in a timely mannerAssist the external auditors with their quarterly reviews and year-end auditsEnsure all internal controls and SOX controls are effective and operationalDevelop an environment of continuous process and control improvementLead a team of 3 direct reports and support ATO programAd hoc projects or special analysis as requiredWhat you'll have:Minimum 8 years of relevant work experienceUniversity Degree and accounting designation (CPA)Ability to independently manage and organize multiple work activities and inputs in order to meet or exceed established deadlines and prioritiesStrong attention to detailProficient in Microsoft Office with an emphasis on strong Excel and PowerPoint skillsPre-existing knowledge of Oracle and Essbase would be an asset, with desire to become a super user for these tools over timeAbility to build strong relationships within finance organizationAbility to drive change to enhance processes and improve deliverablesStrong interpersonal skills and ease with communicating with various levels in the organization (including senior management)What's in it for you:We believe in investing in our people and helping them reach their potential as valuable members of our team.
