About The Role
We are seeking a motivated Heavy Duty Equipment Journeyperson to join our team in Edmonton. In this hands‑on role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the safety, reliability, and performance of a diverse fleet of specialized municipal and public works equipment. You will perform inspections, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on a variety of heavy‑duty vehicles while working alongside a collaborative team that supports continuous learning, professional development, and career growth.
Location: Edmonton, AB
What You’ll Do
- Perform inspections, diagnostics, preventative maintenance, and mechanical repairs on a wide range of heavy‑duty and specialized municipal equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
- Repair and maintain vacuum trucks, hydro‑vac units, street sweepers, refuse and recycling trucks, sewer inspection equipment, and other specialty vehicles.
- Complete work orders accurately and efficiently while maintaining service documentation.
- Collaborate with the Service Writer, Parts Department, and fellow technicians to maximize equipment uptime and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work workplace in accordance with company and regulatory safety standards.

Position Details
- Location: Edmonton, Alberta
- Status: Permanent, Full‑Time
- Compensation Type: Hourly (overtime paid in accordance with applicable employment legislation)
- Schedule: Monday to Friday; occasional extended hours may be required based on operational needs
- Travel: 0–2%

What You Bring
- Heavy Duty Equipment Technician Journeyperson certification (required).
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
- Welding ability an strong asset
- Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driver's abstract.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- Commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship.
- Positive attitude and team‑oriented approach.
Work Environment And Physical Requirements
- Shop, yard, warehouse settings.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull equipment and components.
- Ability to stand, kneel, bend, and work in various positions for extended periods.
- Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to perform the essential duties of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
