Our client is seeking an experienced Principal Geochemist to provide senior technical leadership and support the continued growth of its environmental geochemistry consulting business across Western Canada and the Americas.

This is a senior leadership position combining technical expertise, client development, team leadership, and project advisory responsibilities. The successful candidate will join a strong existing pipeline of work and opportunities, providing an immediate platform to engage with clients, deliver technical assignments, and help grow the Western Canadian practice.

Reporting to the Senior Director, Americas, the Principal Geochemist will work alongside other Principals while leading and developing the Western Canadian Office technical team. They will provide senior technical oversight, develop key client relationships, support business growth, and ensure consistently high standards of technical delivery.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Provide senior technical leadership across environmental geochemistry assignments supporting mining and natural resources clients across Canada and the broader Americas.
- Take a leading role in delivering and developing an established pipeline of projects and client opportunities.
- Develop and maintain senior client relationships, working with the Senior Director, Americas and other Principals to convert existing opportunities and secure new consulting assignments.
- Use established mining industry relationships and technical credibility to support the continued growth of the Western Canadian practice.




- Lead the development of the Western Canadian Office technical team, including recruitment, mentoring, capability development, and effective deployment of technical professionals.
- Work collaboratively with other Principals and technical specialists across the wider business to execute projects and provide clients with access to broader expertise.
- Deliver senior advisory work across feasibility, operations, and longer term environmental management.
- Provide senior technical review and oversight of reports, recommendations, and client deliverables, ensuring consistently high standards of technical quality.
- Maintain commercial oversight of the Western Canadian Office, including resource planning, utilization, project performance, and client expectations.
- Maintain an appropriate level of billable consulting activity while balancing technical leadership, client development, and team responsibilities.
- Represent the business through technical presentations, conferences, training, professional associations, and other relevant industry activities.
- Maintain flexibility to undertake both field and office based work as project requirements dictate.
- Ensure work is completed in accordance with applicable professional, health, safety,



environmental, and quality requirements.

REQUIREMENTS

- Extensive professional experience in environmental geochemistry within the mining or natural resources sector.
- Recognized technical expertise and credibility within environmental geochemistry, with the ability to advise clients on complex technical matters.
- Experience providing senior technical advice across feasibility, operations, and longer-term environmental management.
- Significant experience delivering, reviewing, and providing technical oversight of environmental geochemistry programs, reports, and client deliverables.
- Established relationships within the mining industry and demonstrated ability to develop trusted client relationships and consulting opportunities.
- Experience contributing directly to client development, proposals, and the securing of recent consulting work.
- Proven experience leading, mentoring, recruiting, and developing technical professionals.
- Strong commercial awareness, including an understanding of consulting project budgets, resource planning, utilization, and client expectations.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with other senior technical leaders and geographically dispersed project teams.
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills with the credibility to engage senior client representatives and technical stakeholders.
- Eligibility for the professional registration required to provide geoscience consulting advice within the relevant Canadian jurisdiction.
