Our client is seeking an intermediate Drafting Technologist III to produce, update, and maintain accurate technical drawings for pipeline and facility assets across multiple engineering disciplines.

Must Have skills

Minimum 5+ years of drafting experience in the oil and gas industry.

Strong proficiency with AutoCAD.

Demonstrated experience working across mechanical, piping, electrical, and instrumentation disciplines.

Experience developing and updating P&IDs;, plot plans, facility layouts, and equipment drawings.

Ability to interpret field redlines, site photos, as-built information, and project documentation.

Robust understanding of drawing control, revision history, and documentation management throughout the project lifecycle.

Nice to Have skills

Experience using LPDMS or similar drawing/document management systems.

Familiarity with pipeline and facility operations.

Knowledge of instrumentation, control systems, and tagging conventions.

Responsibilities

Develop, update, and maintain engineering drawings across mechanical, piping, electrical, and instrumentation disciplines.





Translate engineering concepts, project deliverables, and field inputs into accurate CAD drawings.

Review and incorporate site markups, field redlines, photos, and as-built information into final deliverables.

Ensure drawings comply with applicable drafting standards and industry practices.

Support the preparation of Issued for Construction and As-Built drawing packages.

Maintain drawing control, revision history, and technical documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

Collaborate with engineers, project managers, field teams, operations teams, and external service providers to confirm design intent and deliverables.

Support multiple pipeline and facility projects in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Identify and resolve drawing discrepancies using independent judgment when input data is incomplete or evolving.

Contribute to the accuracy of process safety information and the quality of project execution.
