Position Overview
Calgary, Alberta – Salary: $90k - $115k + Benefits, RRSP – Architecture and Design Firm – Other Titles: Senior Project Manager, PM, Senior Technologist, Senior Architectural Manager, Architect, Architectural Project Lead, Intern Architect, Job Captain
A top architecture, design and planning firm is looking for an organized and talented Architectural Project Manager to work on a variety of large multi‑family, mixed‑use and commercial projects across Canada. Projects include local and provincial engagements and the firm is well established with an excellent reputation and an impressive portfolio.
Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record as a Project Manager within an architectural practice and will:
Review and mark up drawings in Revit
Conduct site visits and coordinate with contractors, subconsultants and clients
Manage project financials including budgets, resource allocation and deadlines
Assist junior staff such as project coordinators and technologists
Possess solid experience on large multi‑family/mixed‑use projects (high rise, mid rise, low rise) in Canada
Qualifications
Minimum 8 years of experience as an architectural qualified with 4+ years as a Project Lead or Architectural Project Manager
Master of Architecture, Bachelor of Architecture, Architectural Technology Diploma or related education
Currently living in Canada with 4+ years of experience applying building codes and by laws in Canada
Proficient in Revit (marking up drawings) and possessing a good understanding of the regulatory environment for multi‑family construction
Experience managing all aspects of projects, including fees, submittals, permits and resource allocation
Experience working on multi‑family projects and other large project types is an asset
Working knowledge of AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite & MS Office is an asset
Exceptional communication and coordination skills
