Description

Job Type: Full-Time | Location: Mackenzie, BC| Department: Operations | Reporting to: Project Director | Work Location Type: #onsite

IREN is a leading AI Cloud Service Provider, delivering large-scale GPU clusters for AI training and inference. IREN’s vertically integrated platform is underpinned by its expansive portfolio of grid-connected land and data centers in renewable-rich regions across the U.S. and Canada.

With 100% renewable energy, we build, own and operate our data centers and take pride in being at the forefront of sustainable solutions for the ever-evolving applications of high-performance compute. We believe that human progress is invaluable, but it should be done in the right way – responsibly, sustainably and having a positive impact on the communities we operate in.

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of large-scale data center infrastructure construction projects, with a strong emphasis on electrical and mechanical systems.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing all phases of project execution, ensuring mission-critical facilities are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and performance. You will play a key role in coordinating multidisciplinary teams,

driving project milestones, and maintaining rigorous compliance across all construction activities.

The ideal candidate brings a solid background in construction management, combined with technical expertise in electrical power distribution, cooling systems, and mechanical infrastructure essential to high-performance data centers. This position requires a leader who can confidently navigate complex builds while maintaining a sharp focus on safety, reliability, and operational excellence.

Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- 5–7 years of project management experience in mission-critical infrastructure, data centers, industrial facilities, or large-scale construction.
- Strong technical understanding of power systems (medium and low voltage), backup generation, and cooling systems.
- Proven track record managing EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) projects with budgets of $10M+.
- Knowledge of construction safety standards, building codes, and commissioning processes.
- Proficiency with project management software (e.g., MS Project)
- PMP, or equivalent certification preferred.
