Our client, Velan, a global leader in the design and manufacturing of industrial valves, delivers custom projects subject to stringent quality requirements (ASME, ISO, NQA‑1), with strong interaction with clients and regulatory bodies. Quality is an integral part of project performance. Velan is currently seeking a Project Quality Assurance Specialist to join its team.

The position may be based in Montréal or Granby. This role is intended for an experienced QA skilled who is comfortable working in highly regulated environments and on complex engineering projects (nuclear energy, critical applications, defense, etc.).

Your Role - Analyze contractual quality requirements for projects;

- Prepare inspection and test plans as well as quality documentation;
- Act as a QA reference for project teams and clients;
- Manage non‑conformances and contractual issues;
- Participate in internal and external audits;
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of quality processes.

Desired





Profile - Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Metallurgical Engineering;

- 5+ years of engineering experience, including 3+ years in quality assurance or quality control;
- Experience in a structured and regulated industrial environment;
- Strong knowledge of ASME standards (Section III, VIII and/or B31.3 — major asset);
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 / NQA‑1 (audit experience is an asset);
- Eligibility for the Controlled Goods Program (CGP);
- Bilingual in French and English.
