Our client is a large, multi-site organization operating in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Committed to continuous improvement and sustainable growth, the organization is seeking a people-focused HR leader to provide strategic guidance and help strengthen organizational capability, leadership effectiveness, and employee engagement.

Position Scope:

The Senior Director / Regional Director, Human Resources is responsible for providing enterprise-level human resources leadership to a large, geographically dispersed workforce. Acting as a key member of the senior leadership team, this role contributes to business performance by strengthening organizational capability, enhancing leadership effectiveness, and fostering a culture that supports growth, accountability, and operational excellence.

The successful candidate will provide executive counsel on matters related to workforce strategy, organizational health, culture, leadership effectiveness, risk mitigation, and employee experience. This individual will balance long-term people strategy with practical, business-focused solutions that support a dynamic operating environment.

Responsibilities:

- Serve as a trusted advisor to senior executives and operational leaders on workforce strategy, organizational capability, and business performance.
- Lead the development and execution of people initiatives that support growth, productivity, employee engagement, and organizational effectiveness.
- Provide executive-level guidance on complex employee relations matters, workplace investigations, risk mitigation strategies, and employment legislation.
- Partner with business leaders to strengthen leadership capability, team effectiveness, and succession readiness across the organization.
- Guide organizational restructuring efforts, workforce optimization initiatives, and business transformation projects.




- Establish and monitor people-related KPIs and workforce metrics to support strategic decision-making and organizational planning.
- Oversee compensation, talent review, performance management, and employee development practices to ensure consistency and alignment with business objectives.
- Champion initiatives that strengthen workplace culture, employee value proposition, and overall employee experience.
- Build strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, fostering collaboration and alignment across functions.
- Provide oversight and direction related to labour relations strategies, collective agreement administration, negotiations, and dispute resolution activities.
- Lead and develop the HR function while driving continuous improvement across policies, programs, systems, and service delivery.

Required Skills and Knowledge:

- Demonstrated ability to influence executive-level business decisions through strategic human resources leadership.
- Strong understanding of organizational effectiveness, workforce optimization, leadership development, and cultural transformation.
- Experience navigating complex employee relations matters with sound judgment and a pragmatic, solutions-oriented approach.
- Ability to align talent and people strategies with evolving business priorities and operational requirements.
- Strong commercial and operational acumen with the ability to understand business drivers and organizational challenges.




- Experience leading organizations through growth, transformation, restructuring, or periods of significant change.
- Excellent communication, coaching, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement abilities.
- Solid analytical capability with experience leveraging data and workforce insights to drive decision-making.
- Working knowledge of labour relations, collective agreement administration, and employment legislation across multiple jurisdictions.
- Proven ability to lead and inspire teams while creating a culture of accountability, responsiveness, and service excellence.

Education and Experience:

- Degree in Human Resources, Business, Industrial Relations, Organizational Development, or a related discipline.
- CHRL designation or equivalent professional credential preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive HR leadership experience with increasing responsibility.
- Demonstrated experience serving as a strategic partner to senior executives within a complex operating environment.
- Experience supporting large employee populations across multiple locations.
- Background in manufacturing, industrial operations, consumer products, distribution, logistics, or similarly complex environments.
- Experience leading organizational transformation, workforce strategy, and leadership development initiatives.
- Strong exposure to employee relations, labour relations, and workplace governance matters.
- Experience leading and developing high-performing HR teams.
