We are looking for a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic 1 East team! Unit 1 East is a 28-bed inpatient cardiology unit, including 4 post-angioplasty recovery beds, providing specialized care to a diverse population of cardiology patients. As an integral member of our multidisciplinary team, you’ll play an important role in providing safe, patient-centered care through the development, implementation, and evaluation of individualized care plans.

Physical Demands: The role involves sitting and standing for extended periods, frequently assisting patients with repositioning, standing, and sitting, as well as repetitive activities such as typing and prolonged computer use.

Description
As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will provide a wide variety of nursing services to patients, families, communities and populations, while taking necessary steps to ensure their safety and well-being. In your role, you will utilize nursing processes, through critical thinking, problem solving and decision making, as well as teach, counsel and advocate on behalf of patients and their families. You will play a leadership role in supporting an integrated and holistic approach to patient care, health promotion and maintenance.
You will provide safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values.
PLEASE NOTE: Provisional Permit holders will be paid $40.76 to $55.79 per hour. Upon obtaining a full practice permit, the rate of pay will be adjusted to the applicable Registered Nurse rate in accordance with UNA Article 25.02(b)(i) or (ii), as applicable.

Required Qualifications
Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA).
Current Basic Cardiac Life
Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification.
Additional Required Qualifications
To ensure your skills and qualifications are considered please attach a RESUME and cover letter with your application. Successful completion of CRNA modules - Standards of Practice on Restricted Activities and Advanced Practice as well as certifications in required competencies. Current acute care experience required.
Basic keyboarding/computer skills required. Excellent communication skills required. The ability to balance numerous demands and conflicting priorities is essential. Must be able to work in a physically demanding environment, involving constant walking, bending, and lifting 50 lbs. and over.
Preferred Qualifications
Inpatient Connect Care training/access preferred.
