- Current Certificate of Registration from the College of Nurses of Ontario as a Registered Nurse
- Heart and Stroke Foundation CPR course at the Heartsaver Plus level
- Demonstrated knowledge and 2 recent years therapeutic experience within the last 5 years in the field of neurological rehabilitation with acquired brain injury population
- Demonstrated knowledge and 2 recent years therapeutic experience within the last 5 years with clients who have had a brain injury
- Demonstrated knowledge in safety procedures/protocols with patients
- Demonstrated willingness to gain knowledge and acquire skills to develop a higher level of professional expertise in rehabilitation and behaviour management that will promote the development of the Rehabilitation/Seniors Health Program
- Demonstrated collaborative approach to daily interactions that support respectful and effective working relationships with clients, families, the rehabilitation team and the community
- Demonstrated sound professional judgment and initiative based on training and experience
- Demonstrated excellence in communication, interpersonal, organizational and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated team leadership, staff training and mentoring skills to work both independently and collaboratively with minimum supervision
- Evidence of commitment to continuing education

12. Membership in professional organizations (ie. RNAO, rehabilitation nursing organization) The new Regional Rehabilitation Centre B3 South , Acquired Brain Injury Rehabilitation Unit is a 16 bed inpatient unit for patients post brain injury admitted for rehabilitation and community re-integration. The unit provides rehabilitation for adults with significant cognitive and physical needs. The emphasis is on improving the quality of life for patients and their families.
