Responsibilities Aid in the translation of customer needs into positive action by the company.
Work with planning personnel to ensure maximum equipment utilization while maintaining targeted customer service levels.
Ensure Bison Transport has access to as much business as required for maximum utilization, by working proactively with their clients.
Identify and manifest all daily inbound and outbound loads from both Bison docks as well as partner carrier docks, updating trailer information as they are manifested and made ready for linehaul.
Monitor volumes and manage equipment to ensure adequate trailers/containers are on site at both Bison docks as well as partner carrier docks, confirming correct equipment is assigned to moves.
Contribute to regional backfill goals set out by the leadership group.
Delegate load, unload, and rework actions to the cross‑dock operation via the Load Transfer Grid.
Review a daily dock audit and communicate findings to leadership.
Maintain interdepartmental relationships and a high level of customer communication with the Customer Service team.
Monitor partner carrier spend and performance.
Keep apprised of general trends of business volume,
destination mix, and any changes or unusual developments.
Communicate and coordinate the strategy and planning of the LTL Operations Team to the LTL Customer Service Team and LTL Pricing Team.
Perform other duties and projects as assigned by leadership.
Qualifications 1-3 years of experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain roles.
Educational background in Supply Chain Management (or other relevant area such as Business) considered an asset.
Dedicated experience providing customer service in a similar work setting.
Well organized, an excellent communicator and have a keen sense of timeliness.
Demonstrated attention to detail, problem solving and planning abilities.
Knowledge of the transportation industry and North American geography are considered assets.
Able to quickly adapt to changes, shift focus, meet deadlines, and complete time‑sensitive tasks.
