The opportunity
As a Tax Engagement Coordinator, you will be a part of our Private Client Services group. As a member of EY’s Business Tax Service practice, you will develop a combination of deep tax knowledge and a sophisticated understanding of business drivers to serve your clients to the best of your ability.
Responsibilities
Coordinate and manage track engagements from setup through completion, working closely with tax professionals and internal support teams
Create and maintain internal engagement workspaces and tax process tools to support collaboration and documentation
Monitor deadlines and proactively follow up with tax practitioners to keep engagements on track
Prepare, coordinate, and manage engagement letters, including drafting and facilitating execution as required
Assist with low‑complexity correspondence and inquiries from tax authorities
Create, manage, and validate client data requests under the supervision of tax practitioners
Coordinate the electronic filing and transmission of tax returns and related forms
Continuously identify opportunities for operational efficiency or value creation, and help implement relevant operational solutions
Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of business unit policies, practices, and processes to help meet quality and compliance standards
Skills and attributes for success
Ability to remain efficient and extremely organized while managing a high volume of work; ability to prioritize and execute multiple tasks
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Teams, Excel, Word, and SharePoint, with the ability to quickly learn new systems and tools
Experience collaborating with senior stakeholders and supporting operational or process‑driven initiatives
Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills; ability to build and maintain trusted relationships
Strong attention to detail
Ability to handle confidential and sensitive matters with sound judgment
Experience working in a professional services or administrative coordination role is an asset
Qualifications
University degree (or equivalent in experience) and a keen desire to learn and take on new challenges
At least 2 years related work experience
Able to manage multiple tasks, receive work from various sources and with tight deadlines
Strong organizational and time management skills
Strong Excel and Word skills
At ease in working in a professional services environment
Committed to achieving firm goals
Solid communication and interpersonal abilities
Embraces challenges and change
Demonstrate sound judgment regarding confidential and sensitive matters
Flexible to work additional hours during busy season

Salary
Toronto: $52,000 to $78,000
