Position: Relative Services Administrative Support

Closing: Posting will remain open until September 4, 2026

Term: Full-time (35 hours per week)

Salary Range: $37,700-$44,160

We are currently hiring Relative Services Administrative Support positions for our office located in Sault Ste. Marie.

As Relative Services Administrative Support, you will be an integral member of the Office Administration team, responsible for, but not limited to, reception duties and administrative support as needed. The successful candidate will be a goal-oriented, organized, enthusiastic individual who understands and appreciates how secure, affordable housing contributes to the quality of life and serves as a stable foundation.

Duties and responsibilities will include, but not be limited to the following:





· Support OAHS’s mission and vision and make significant contributions to the achievement of the corporate strategic plan;

· Answer phone and provide directions to callers seeking assistance and information on the various programs offered by OAHS.

· Utilize various communication mediums to communicate with staff located in OAHS offices and with relatives.

· Respond and provide aid for in-person inquiries from relatives, business partners, and other parties.

· Refer all inquiries to the appropriate individuals, divisions, or departments across the organization.

· Complete meetings, travel, and other event logistics as required.

· Accept and record telephone, e-mail, or written messages for staff.

· Maintain the Corporate email by responding to emails and forwarding messages to the appropriate department.

· Utilize Microsoft Office products to produce materials including correspondence, spreadsheets and presentations.

· Maintain accurate client data.

· Maintain staff information log sheet.

· Open, log, scan, and distribute incoming mail.

· Bank deposits electronically for Finance, Title and Collections.

· Enter rent that come via mail into client cards and deposit electronically or in person to the bank.

· Generate client rent receipts at the relative’s request.

· Prepare routine responses through hard copy or email processes.





· Present a positive and professional image of the organization to stakeholders during inquiries and other interactions.

· Responsible for ongoing data entry into OAHS Business Management System (BMS) (eg. update tenant applications, changes to tenant information.

· Assist with new applications as required.

· Assist with other department overflow of duties as required.

· Order office supplies.

· Receive and send out packages and documents via delivery services.

· Other duties as required.

To qualify for this role, the successful candidate will have the following qualifications and skills:

· Knowledge of and an appreciation for Indigenous culture and demonstrated values that focus on assisting people.

· College Diploma or combination of education and work experience.

· Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, databases and other software products.

· Office/administrative experience.

· Excellent customer service skills.

· Demonstrated ability to communicate both written and orally using multiple channels with a variety of stakeholders both internal and external to the organization.

· Demonstrated ability to work independently and solve problems within a highly motivated, professional and result-oriented team.

· Strong interpersonal, organizational and analytical skills.

· Experience working in housing, social services, and other service sectors would be an asset.

Conditions of employment

· Ability to travel as required (limited requirement);

· Ability to work varying hours/days if required;

· Valid CPIC clearance (Criminal Records check) and/or Vulnerable Sector Check;

· References;

· Current, valid Ontario Driver’s License (preferred) and safe driving record
