The Algorithmic Archive
Project seeks two complementary Research Officers: a Curatorial & Policy Research Officer and a Technical Research Officer. Both positions will involve collaboration on innovative archiving solutions for web-based content, including social media and algorithmic data. Successful candidates will showcase their expertise in social media, strong organizational skills, and a passionate commitment to exploring contemporary digital life through research. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct investigations into social media and algorithmic resources
- Work with technical staff to apply research findings
- Support the development of Bodleian service roadmap
- Engage with community standards and practices
- Collaborate on documentation of project outcomes Requirements:
- Knowledge of social media data techniques and ethics
- Robust IT literacy and capability to learn new tools
- Experience in curatorial work advantageous
- Proficient in technical aspects of digital data management
