Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive customer service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate orders using POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Micros POS, ensuring quick and efficient processing of transactions
- Assist in food preparation and food handling to meet safety standards and quality expectations
- Serve food and beverages promptly while upselling menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, dining spaces, and kitchen surfaces in compliance with food safety regulations
- Handle cash, process payments accurately, and manage cash handling responsibilities with integrity
- Support kitchen staff with basic food prep tasks as needed to ensure timely service
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments with a strong understanding of the food industry standards
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, positive attitude
- Proficiency in using POS systems such as Micros POS for order entry and payment processing
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables or tasks efficiently during busy hours
- Knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques
- Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and calculating bills accurately
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Experience with serving or cashiering roles is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential
