Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Retail Assistant Manager to join our vibrant retail team. This role is perfect for a proactive leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, excels in customer service, and possesses strong management skills. As a key player in our store operations, you will oversee daily activities, support sales initiatives, and ensure an exceptional shopping experience for our customers.

Your energy and leadership will drive team performance, optimize store processes, and contribute to the overall success of our retail environment.

Duties

- Assist in managing daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, inventory control, and cash handling to ensure smooth store functioning
- Lead, supervise, and motivate retail staff to achieve sales targets while maintaining high standards of customer service and product knowledge
- Oversee merchandising, stocking, and inventory management to ensure product availability and optimal presentation on the sales floor
- Conduct employee orientation, training & development sessions, and performance evaluations to foster a skilled and engaged team
- Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints promptly,



and ensure exceptional customer service experiences at all times
- Support recruiting efforts by participating in interviewing candidates and onboarding new team members
- Manage POS (Point of Sale) systems for transactions, pricing adjustments, and sales reporting while ensuring accuracy in all financial processes

Skills

- Proven experience in retail management or assistant manager roles with supervisory responsibilities in a retail environment
- Solid leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively and communicate managerial expectations clearly
- Excellent organizational skills with proficiency in inventory management, bookkeeping, payroll processing, and cash handling
- Skilled in negotiation, purchasing, merchandising, and pricing strategies to maximize sales opportunities
- Familiarity with POS systems, retail math calculations, and operational management practices including budgeting and shift management
- Bilingual or multilingual abilities are highly desirable for serving diverse customer bases effectively
- Exceptional customer service skills combined with phone etiquette and professional communication abilities
- Ability to train staff on retail industry sales techniques, product knowledge (including wireless sales), and operational procedures
- Basic math skills necessary for daily financial tasks such as cash reconciliation and inventory counts
- Experience with grocery or convenience store operations is a plus but not required; a strong understanding of retail sales dynamics is essential
