About the Opportunity

We are seeking a Retirement Home Physician with a background and strong interest in geriatrics to provide ongoing medical care to approximately 15–20 Residents in a supportive retirement home environment.

This is an excellent chance for a physician looking for a consistent, relationship-based practice with a manageable patient roster and flexibility.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide ongoing primary medical care to approximately 15–20 Residents.
- Conduct one in-person physician visit per week at the retirement home.
- Provide assessment and follow-up for acute and chronic medical conditions.
- Support medication management and care planning in collaboration with the nursing and care team.
- Communicate with Residents, families, substitute decision-makers, and interdisciplinary team members as required.
- Provide on-call coverage for your assigned Residents, with additional compensation for on-call services.
- Maintain appropriate medical documentation and follow-up.
- Coordinate with specialists, community services, and other healthcare providers when required.

Compensation & Billing

- 100% of OHIP billings retained by the physician.
- Additional on-call payment provided for after-hours/on-call coverage.




- Compensation structure can be discussed based on experience and scope of coverage.

Qualifications

- Current registration and good standing with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO).
- Eligible to practice in Ontario and bill OHIP.
- Background, experience, or strong interest in geriatric medicine is preferred.
- Experience in Retirement Homes, Long term care, or working with older adults and complex/chronic medical conditions is an asset.
- Strong communication and cooperative skills.
- Comfortable working within a retirement home and interdisciplinary care environment.
