Your work will directly contribute to the social and economic well-being of the community.What you bring to the position:Required Qualifications and Experience:Diploma in Social Sciences or a related disciplineThree years of recent, related experience supporting individuals with disabilities or complex barriers in a helping professionExperience conducting client assessments and developing individualized employment service plansExperience providing one-on-one employment counselling and coachingExperience designing and facilitating group programs using adult learning principlesCompetencies and SkillsKnowledge of career development theory, job search strategies,
and workplace accommodationsUnderstanding of employment barriers and wraparound community supportsKnowledge of local labour market trends and in-demand occupationsStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to build collaborative relationships with clients, employers, and community partnersAbility to manage a caseload effectively while maintaining quality, client-centered serviceProficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic documentation systemsComfortable using digital platforms to deliver virtual or hybrid servicesAbility to work independently and as part of a teamCertifications and RequirementsNon-Violent Crisis Intervention training, or willingness to obtain after hireMental Health First Aid training, or willingness to obtain after hireMotivational Interviewing training or certification is an assetTrauma-Informed Practice training or certification is an assetCCDP certification is an assetMust maintain a satisfactory criminal record check, including vulnerable sector checkOpen Door Group values diversity and is committed to providing an inclusive work environment.
