Advance your career as a Safety and Facilities Advisor with UBC's Faculty of Applied Science. This role emphasizes leadership in occupational health and safety (OH&S;) and alignment with university policies. As a key member of the Special Projects & Facilities Department, you will lead the development and implementation of the Faculty’s OH&S; program.
You will establish program goals, monitor compliance, and provide expertise across various disciplines. This leadership role fosters a proactive safety culture while ensuring effective communication and collaboration with stakeholders. Key Responsibilities:
- Design and oversee Faculty-wide OH&S; programs
- Develop guidelines and management systems for safety
- Provide expert safety advice and training
- Liaise with safety committees and departments
- Monitor compliance and corrective actions Requirements:
- Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline
- Minimum of three years of relevant experience
- Knowledge of OH&S; legislation and safety management
- Robust communication and problem-solving skills
