Overview As a Package Gas Dispatcher in Winnipeg, you will manage scheduling, drivers, and daily management of the Package Gas distribution workload, reporting directly to the Area Branch Operations Manager. Your role will optimize distribution efficiency, minimize costs, and ensure excellent service while adhering to transportation of dangerous goods and Transport Canada regulations. You may also act as a Micro Bulk dispatcher when required.
Responsibilities Analyze customer demand and ensure accuracy of the distribution plan, including customer needs, product and equipment availability, geographic position, and delivery optimization using logistics KPIs.
Review truck utilization to maximize capacity.
Work closely with other departments to ensure prompt customer service.
Analyze customer trends and recommend supply modes based on consumption patterns, location, etc.
Maintain master data accuracy in the system.
Validate and confirm drivers' operations (customer number, truck & trailer IDs, tank level, delivered product, mileage, driver’s name, etc.) and review trip performance, taking actions to improve efficiency.
Review delivery routes and clusters regularly to optimize the distribution network.
Promote a safety culture at the office and Distribution Centre, attend safety meetings, and foster a safe working environment.




Handle shipping and receiving of shipments to/from customers and other branches.
Audit and refine GMP protocols to guarantee regulatory compliance and quality control during medical product distribution.
Qualifications High School Diploma required.
1‑4 years of experience in a related logistics domain.
Experience in industrial gas, chemical manufacturing, or a similar process‑driven industry is highly preferred.
Technical Skills & Competencies Proficient with computer programs and databases, including Google Suite, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word), and specialized industrial databases.
Familiarity or experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
Strong analytical, critical thinking, and statistical skills, with an understanding of basic finance and management principles.
Knowledge of Continuous Improvement Methodologies to optimize workflows.
