The FRN Network Coordinator strengthens and coordinates the City Centre Calgary Family Resource Network by building collaborative partnerships, supporting service integration, and improving access to services and supports for children, youth, and families across the network. Reporting to the FRN Supervisor, this position leads to network engagement, community outreach, school partnerships, referral pathway coordination, data collection, evaluation, and reporting.
The FRN Network Coordinator serves as a key liaison between families, network partners, schools, community stakeholders, and service providers to promote a connected and responsive system of support. Working closely with the Family Supports Navigator, the Coordinator helps strengthen referral pathways, identify service gaps and barriers, enhance coordination across partners, and support equitable access to services for families throughout the City Centre Calgary FRN.
This position typically works 37.5 hours per week and is based at the YWCA Calgary Hub. The role requires regular travel throughout the Calgary service area to attend meetings, outreach events, schools, and partner locations.

What You'll Do
Coordinate and strengthen relationships with network partners, school authorities, community organizations, and other stakeholders to support a connected system of services for children, youth, and families
Plan and facilitate regular network meetings, joint planning activities, and community discussions that support collaboration, information sharing, and problem solving
Maintain partnership agreements, communication processes, and referral pathways to support clear and consistent service coordination across the network
Work closely with the Family Supports Navigator and network partners to support family access to coordinated services, clarify referral pathways, identify barriers, and strengthen handoffs between the FRN Hub, partner agencies, schools, and community supports
Share family access trends, service barriers, and emerging needs with the FRN Supervisor and network partners to improve planning, coordination, and service response
Represent the Family Resource Network at community meetings, events, coalitions, and stakeholder forums to increase awareness of available services
Coordinate outreach activities and communication initiatives that promote a robust and recognizable network presence throughout the service area
Build and maintain partnerships with schools and community organizations to support timely access to services and resources for families
Serve as an initial point of contact for families accessing the FRN Hub by providing general information about available programs and connecting families to the Family Supports Navigator or appropriate community supports when more direct navigation is needed
Coordinate network data collection and reporting processes to ensure funder requirements and timelines are met
Monitor network outcomes, referral trends, service gaps, and partner feedback to identify opportunities for improvement
Prepare reports, summaries, and presentations that demonstrate network activities, outcomes, and community impact
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Human Services, Community Development, Child and Youth Care, Education, or related field required
At least three years of experience in community development, program coordination, partnership development, or human services

Experience collecting, analyzing, and reporting data to support program outcomes, funder reporting, and continuous improvement
Knowledge of child, youth, and family-serving systems and community resources
Understanding collaborative service delivery, referral processes, and community-based supports
Knowledge of principles related to family‑centred, culturally responsive, and trauma‑informed practice
Strong relationship building, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills
