The Senior Manager contributes to the overall success of the Canada Settlements team ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team's business strategies and objectives.LocationThis position is located in North York.DurationThis role is covering a maternity leave. Expected duration :18 months.ResponsibilitiesOversee the validation of invoices,



settlement statements, adjustments, and payments from Metergy's client baseLead the modernization, integration, and optimization of settlement, billing, meter-data, and enterprise resource planning systemsDevelop dashboards and reporting tools to monitor settlement accuracy, timeliness, exceptions, disputes, and financial performanceEvaluate the use of automation, analytics, and artificial intelligence to improve settlement controls and reduce manual processingEnsure all settlements are completed accurately, securely, and within required market, contractual, and financial timelinesManage settlement activities across applicable electricity markets, including IESO and other Canadian market interfaces where relevantReview complex contractual settlement calculations and ensure billing aligns with commercial agreements and market rulesResolve settlement discrepancies, exceptions, disputed charges, missing data, and payment issues in collaboration with internal and external stakeholdersOversee settlement claims related to regulated pricing programs, customer rebates, embedded generation, demand response, and other utility initiativesEnsure settlement data is accurately reflected in the general ledger, management reporting, forecasts, budgets, and month-end close processesPartner with Finance, Treasury,



Commercial Operations, Meter Data Management, Billing, Customer Care, Legal, and IT teamsRequirementsBachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.7+ years of experience in settlements, billing, finance operations, or utility/telecom services, including 3+ years in a leadership roleStrong understanding of settlement processes, revenue management, financial controls, and operational risk managementExperience leading and developing high-performing teams in a fast-paced operational environmentAdvanced analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools; SQL and Power BI experience are considered assetsExperience with ERP, billing, and financial systems (e.G., Microsoft Dynamics 365 or similar platforms)Proven ability to lead process improvement, automation, and operational excellence initiativesStrong project management and stakeholder management skills, with experience leading cross-functional initiativesSelf-motivated and results-oriented, with a demonstrated ability to drive accountability, change management, and continuous improvementThis posting is for an existing vacancy.Metergy does not use artificial intelligence (AI) to screen, assess, or select candidates.Metergy's recruitment process includes accommodation for applicants with disabilities.
