H 2 O is seeking an experienced Water Filtration Plant Supervisor to lead and oversee various projects within our organization. The ideal candidate will be a highly organized individual with excellent leadership and communication skills. The Water Filtration Plant Supervisor will be responsible for planning, executing work and teams in Central Interior BC (Wells). The candidate will be required to ensure that commitments and requests from the client are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. This role requires a proactive approach to problem‑solving, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Identify and document potential environmental and safety problems
Investigate reported potential environmental and safety problems
Recommend measures to improve productivity
Resolve work problems, provide technical advice and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality
Supervise,
coordinate and schedule (and possibly review) activities of workers
Provide information for maintenance plans to ensure that maintenance and production objectives are met
Train staff/workers in job duties, safety procedures and company policies
Oversee safety of operations
Set up machines and equipment
Professional Skills & Attributes Desired
A minimum of Level 3 in Water & Wastewater Treatment disciplines required
Specialized environmental skills and knowledge
Experience operating and maintaining Water and Wastewater Treatment Plants and related equipment required
Must be flexible and demonstrate a dedication to the position and to public services
Computer literate with ability to use Microsoft Word and Excel; (CMMS programs)
Valid Driver’s License required
Must be able to perform on‑call services or operational support for emergency/short staffing conditions
Excellent and qualified oral and written communication skills
Physical Aspects of Position
Walking & Standing: 4‑8 hr/day
Bending & Reaching: 4‑8 hr/day
Pushing & Pulling: 4‑8 hr/day
Driving: 4‑6 hr/day
Physical Effort: does not lift weights more than 50 lbs
Environmental Stress: busy atmosphere, working inside and outside
Work Environment
Work is performed indoors and outdoors in often in harsh weather conditions.
