PLH Erosion Control Services Inc. is looking for hard-working, reliable and outgoing people to join our crew. We specialize in large-scale erosion control and land reclamation projects throughout Alberta and Western Canada.

Our work is hands-on and constantly changing, with a mix of local and out-of-town projects. You'll work alongside trucks, heavy equipment and specialized erosion control equipment. Safety is our number one priority.

Positions & Pay

Field Labourer / Erosion Control Technician

Starting at $25.00/hour

Class 1 & Class 3 Drivers

Starting at $32.00/hour

We're looking for experienced Class 1 and Class 3 drivers who are also willing to be part of the field crew when required. Experience operating trucks or equipment in construction, oilfield or industrial environments is a strong asset.

Hours of Work

Weekdays and weekends as required

Overtime paid after 8 hours per day and 40 hours per week.

With out-of-town projects and longer workdays, including possible weekends, There can be opportunities to earn significant overtime during busy periods.

Duties





- Driving company trucks and equipment
- Loading and handling seed, mulch, fertilizer and other materials (able to lift 50 lbs)
- Operating and handling large hoses and specialized equipment
- Assisting equipment and truck operators
- General labour and site preparation
- Working around heavy equipment and active industrial/construction sites
- Equipment setup, cleanup and maintenance
- Following safety procedures

Required Safety Tickets

- Standard First Aid
- H2S Alive
- CSTS
- WHMIS
- Fall Arrest / Fall Protection

Required Assets

- Fluent in English reading, writing and communication
- Clean Drivers Abstract
- Hard-working and dependable
- Outgoing and able to work well with a crew
- Safety-conscious
- Capable of regularly lifting 50 lbs
- Comfortable with physical outdoor work
- Willing to work in different weather conditions
- Willing and able to work out of town when required
- Comfortable working around trucks and heavy equipment
- Able to show up on time and ready to work

Experience in construction, oilfield, reclamation, landscaping, agriculture, hydroseeding or heavy equipment is an asset, but we're especially interested in people with a solid attitude and work ethic. Pay: $25.00-$32.00 per hour
