Due to an incredibly busy season we are expanding our team at Big Animal Encounters and we’re looking for passionate individual to join our team! We’re currently recruiting for a shoreside position at our marine centres at the world famous Painters Lodge Marine Centre and in Comox. If you love the ocean, wildlife, and keen to introduce our slice of paradise to visitors from around the world, we want to hear from you.

From whale watching to grizzly bear adventures, you’ll be part of delivering world-class wildlife experiences on the BC coast.We're currently recruiting for Guest Experience Coordinators for the remainder of 2026 season who are passionate about wildlife and the outdoors, and love meeting people from around the world! We offer flexible shifts of 4 days on and 4 days off.

Responsibilities include

- Open and closing procedures at marine centres




- Check-in guests for tours
- Provisioning of vessels for tours
- Answer phones and respond to email inquiries
- Provide local information and take new tour bookings
- Sales of gift shop items
- Clean, organize and sanitize marine centres
- Assist with getting passengers geared up for zodiac tours

Qualifications:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in English
- A love for wildlife and the outdoors
- Comfortable working independently
- Solid interpersonal skills

Job Types: Full-time, Seasonal Contract length: 1.5 months

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35-40 hours per week
