We are currently hiring Healthcare Security Guards to join our growing team. In this position, your primary responsibility is safely escorting medical teams and patients to and from the hospital, travelling through different parts of the region to do so. When not completing these duties, you will assist patrolling healthcare facilities in the area to make sure they have safe and accessible environments. This involves promptly filling out detailed incident reports whenever an issue arises, so you can discover solutions on how to keep staff, patients, and guests feeling comfortable in the secure environment you provide

Schedule: 11:00 am to 7:00 pm; second shift 7:00 pm to 3:00 am

Key Responsibilities

- Escort medical teams and patients to and from the hospital, travelling through different parts of the region
- Provide a professional and visible security presence throughout the healthcare facility.
- Respond promptly and effectively to incidents, disturbances, and emergency situations.
- Assist in the management of aggressive behaviour using de-escalation and non-violent crisis intervention techniques.
- Support healthcare staff during emergency codes
- Complete detailed and accurate incident and daily activity reports.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and act as an ambassador of Paladin Security’s values and professionalism.
- Perform other duties as required in the role

Qualifications

- Valid BC Security License




- Basic First Aid Training is preferred
- BC Class 5 driver’s license
- Previous experience in a healthcare security setting preferred.
- Strong communication, observation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to remain composed and empathetic in high-stress situations.
- Knowledge of hospital emergency codes and procedures is an asset.
- Physically able to perform duties including standing, walking, and responding to incidents.
- Completion of certifications and training prior to site deployment

High School Diploma/GED

Certification Requirements (All)

Valid BC Security Licence

Valid Certification in First Aid, CPR and AED
