Description
ATCO Frontec is seeking a Red Seal Journeyman Electrician to join our ATCO Facilities Solutions team in Calgary or Edmonton, AB , working on a project with several properties across Alberta and Northern Communities.

The Journeyman Electrician is responsible for installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of electrical systems in commercial and industrial facilities.

The successful candidate must be willing to work after hours and on weekends as required, and be able to travel outside Alberta to the Northern Territories. Tools, uniforms, PPE, work cellphone, and a company vehicle will be provided for work duties.

Responsibilities

Complete timely inspections, testing and accurate reporting of equipment defects / deficiencies

Strong background in construction.





Ensure all installations comply with electrical codes and safety standards.

Install electrical wiring, conduit, cable trays, panels, transformers, motors and electrical equipment.

Assist with the scoping, estimating, planning and execution of new work or projects.

Ensure all installations, repairs and maintenance meet the requirements of the appropriate codes.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Journeyman Certified Electrician (Red Seal) with a minimum of 2 years’ experience.

Strong commercial and residential experience.

Class 5 license and clean driver’s abstract is required.

Solid verbal and written communication skills.

Able to read drawings and schematics.

Ability to build and work in a team environment is crucial along with a strong commitment to personal and team safety.

Additional Information
This position has been identified as safety sensitive and will require completion of a pre‑employment alcohol & drug test, fit‑to‑work medical test, background check and security clearance.
