Job Description

Join us as a Personal Banker Trainee and demonstrate your expertise in providing sound financial advice to promote customer loyalty and investment returns.
In This Role, You Are Expected To
Play a key role in advising customers on high‑level financial solutions from a range of available investment and credit banking solutions
Engage with customers by asking thoughtful financial questions and creating positive experiences that deepen relationships
Increase customer financial confidence by providing personalized advice, answering questions, and addressing concerns; raise matters as appropriate while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy
Act as a point of contact for frontline staff in handling customer issues
Maintain a qualified space in common areas in line with marketing and regulatory guidelines
Work closely with existing and prospective customers to provide financial reviews, discuss portfolio updates, and suggest additional personalized solutions based on their goals
Stay knowledgeable about emerging issues, evolving regulations,
and industry codes of conduct and participate in process‑improvement opportunities to protect the organisation’s interests
Strive to achieve and improve service‑level agreements and productivity targets
Ensure documents are prepared in compliance with regulations and reflect business intentions accurately
Participate fully as a team member, help build a positive and diverse work environment, and assist and mentor others efficiently
Job Requirements
High school diploma and/or one year of relevant experience
Post‑secondary or undergraduate degree in a related field is an asset
Completion of IFIC (or equivalent) required
CFSA must be completed within 12 months of hire
Real‑estate secured lending and/or investment experience is an asset
Sound knowledge of advanced investing and credit processes, banking solutions, and concepts to provide personalized advice in a fast‑paced environment
Proficiency in software tools including MS Office and internet applications
Tactful communicator able to exchange ideas and customer information concisely and logically
A self‑initiator with strong organisational, planning, and time‑management skills
Mobility Requirement
This opportunity includes a mobility clause that requires the candidate to be mobile within the assigned district. Upon completion of the training program, you may be assigned to a position that is compatible with your training and may involve transfer and geographic relocation to another TD location within the region. You must be mobile to any location in the region.
