Technical Operations
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Managing, training, and coaching a team of production staff

Conducting routine direct floor level supervision and coaching

Providing direction, influencing production decisions, implementing corrective actions, and ensuring alignment

Facilitates alignment of Development and Operations technical decisions necessary through completion of process performance demo, engineering and validation runs to ensure commercial viability of the manufacturing process

Providing technical guidance and recommendations in conjunction with Sales and Marketing in the evaluation of current projects

Providing risk assessment to the technical transfer process

Developing and approving process SOPs, training documents, and associated reports

Communicating pertinent information to appropriate representative to ensure successful product transfer and commercialization

Participating in client visits of contract manufacturing operations

Participating in the inception of the project through to completion of the technology transfer

Incorporating the use of Process Analytic Technology (PAT) into the process where appropriate

Qualifications
Required:

B.Sc. degree, preferably with a discipline in Engineering, Chemistry,



or Biochemistry

10 years of Pharmaceutical experience

1 year of leadership experience

Experience in technology transfer accomplishments in a biotech/pharmaceutical industry

Desired:

M.Sc. an asset

Experience with API and drug product manufacturing an asset

Knowledge of Manufacturing Operations, Supply Chain, Quality Assurance, Validation and Quality Control

Excellent organization and interpersonal skills

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Travel may be required

Additional Details
This job has a full time weekly schedule.

The full-time equivalent pay range for this position is $93,521.00 - $146,126.00/yr CAD plus eligibility for bonus, stock and benefits. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
