As the Education and Recreation Director, your leadership will shape the direction of programs at the Vuntut Gwitchin First Nation, ensuring that services are effective, accessible, and compliant with guidelines set forth by the Chief and Council. This position emphasizes collaboration with various stakeholders and strategic planning to foster effective community education and recreation. You will also oversee financial management for the department.

Key Responsibilities:
• Engage with community members and stakeholders on program needs
• Align departmental strategies with VGFN’s long-term goals
• Manage financial resources efficiently and transparently




• Build educational partnerships with local institutions
• Address community concerns and ensure responsive services

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in education or administration
• Minimum of 10 years in educational policy implementation
• At least 5 years of experience in management and finance
• Background in Indigenous community partnership building
• Solid communication and proposal writing skills
