Job Description: Reporting to the Superintendent, the Advanced Care Paramedic performs basic life support and also can deliver the widest range of advanced life support skills and administration of medications currently allowed for paramedics in Saskatchewan.



An ACP license is the highest level that can be achieved in Saskatchewan with the most educational requirements that build upon education received as a Primary Care Paramedic or an Intermediate Care Paramedic.

- Grade 12

Licenses

- Valid Class 4 driver's license

- International Trauma Life Support Advanced Certificate (ITLS)

- Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certificate (ACLS)

- Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic/Advanced Care Paramedic (EMT-P/ACP)

- Pediatric Advanced Life Support Certificate (PALS)

Other Education and Training

- Emergency Vehicle Operations training

- Current CPR Level C

Knowledge and Abilities

- Ability to be flexible and adaptable to changing workload

- Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication skills.

- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office programs (Word/Excel/Outlook)

- Thorough knowledge and application of SHA Values, Protocols and Work Standards
