Take charge of public safety at the Pacific National Exhibition as the Assistant Manager for Events. This full-time position is essential in delivering safe and memorable experiences for over 2 million attendees each year.

In this role, you'll spearhead security operations for events, leading a team of 350+ staff while formulating security procedures and managing vendor contracts. Active collaboration with internal departments and external agencies ensures comprehensive operational safety. Your robust conflict resolution and leadership skills will be vital.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead development and execution of safety operations
• Manage training and performance for security staff




• Coordinate with external emergency services and law enforcement
• Conduct thorough risk assessments for events
• Prepare strategic operational briefings pre-event

Requirements:
• Degree in safety, public policy, or similar field
• 5-7 years in security management experience
• In-depth knowledge of event safety standards
• Valid British Columbia Security Worker/Guard License
• Excellent decision-making skills under pressure
