Teaching assignment for 26-27 school year is Automotive/Metalwork 11/12; Industrial Arts 9; Skills 10; Shop 8; Shop 9; Metalwork 10; and Woodwork 11/12.
Fort Nelson Secondary School has a well-equipped woodwork shop and metalwork shop with an automotive bay, including a full vehicle lift. Our shops are well-equipped with a wide variety of industrial-grade equipment to run comprehensive industrial arts and trades programs, and our shop program is supported with a substantial resource budget.
The starting annual salary for this position ranges from $68,492 to $118,751 with the placement on the range based on length of service and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement.
Qualifications: Successful Secondary classroom teaching experience.
Knowledge of, and willingness to use, current best practices in education.
Familiarity with the BC Curriculum.
A strong team orientation.
Excellent planning and organizational skills.
A desire to grow professionally.
Transparent criminal record.
All applicants must be eligible for certification in BC through the BC Teacher Regulation Branch.
