Job Type: Temporary Department: Hourly Wage: $0.00 Close Date (closes at 12:00 am on date noted below): August 24, 2026 Openings: 85Position SummaryThe Tabulator Clerk (TC) feeds ballots into the vote tabulator and prints the results tape using the software provided by the Town Clerk.Major Job ResponsibilitiesAssists with opening and closing the voting locationFollows troubleshooting steps to assist in resolving issues with the vote tabulatorNotifies the Deputy Returning Officer (DRO) of any disruption at the voting location in a timely mannerAssists electors with disabilities, if requestedGenerates the tabulation results on Election NightAbility to read and key data on a touch screen using specific software programsManages a large flow of electors within a voting locationCompletes tasks manually if requiredEnsures scrutineers are following guidelines set forth within the voting locationDirects any elector issues to the Deputy Returning Officer as they ariseAssists with other various election-related duties, as requested by the Deputy Returning Officer (DRO)Education & ExperiencePrevious election experience is considered an assetAccess to a vehicle to travel to the voting locationAbility to understand, rationalize and resolve situations efficiently as they arise.Ability to lift up to 60 lbsAvailability to work long hoursAbility to read and observe voting procedures at the voting locationAbility to learn quickly, follow directions, and complete repetitive dutiesAbility to multi-taskBe at least 18 years of age on advance poll day or election dayEvent Rate:
