As a key member of the UA team, the Underwriting Assistant will collaborate with underwriters and provide necessary administrative support. This 12-month temporary role emphasizes teamwork and the ability to mentor less experienced staff while completing tasks, such as policy entries and maintaining file documents. Your collaboration enhances the efficiency of our underwriting function.
Key Responsibilities:
• Enter new business and renewals into the system
• Assist in training and mentoring junior staff
• Order risk inspections for underwriters as needed




• Maintain file setup documents as approved by underwriters
• Collect additional information from Brokers for underwriters
Requirements:
• 2-3 years of insurance industry experience
• High School Diploma required
• Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) courses are beneficial
• Proficient in English and French for client communication
• Strong attention to detail with repetitive tasks
