We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Senior Copywriter to join our client's team. In this role, your grasp of creative strategy and powerful storytelling will engage medium- to senior-level business audiences, including C-suite executives, institutional investors, and key industry leaders. With your creative mind, cooperative spirit, and strong business acumen, you will deliver campaigns that effectively communicate complex business offerings and drive meaningful results.

This is a 12-month contract (36.25 hours/week) operating on a hybrid model in Calgary or Edmonton , requiring onsite presence primarily for team meetings. There is a possibility for extension.

As the Senior Copywriter, you will balance high-level creative strategy with hands-on copy execution across multi-channel campaigns. On any given day, you could be concepting and writing high-impact copy, mentoring and collaborating with team members, managing video shoots and audio recording sessions, or presenting strategic creative concepts to key stakeholders. You will serve as a creative ambassador, ensuring voice consistency and using data-driven insights to refine creative assets and evolve the brand identity.

Responsibilities

- Creative Strategy: Participate in developing creative strategies for large-scale, cross-channel advertising campaigns. Utilize testing and analytics insights to inform and refine creative concepts, assets, and brand positioning.
- Ideation & Copywriting: Partner with Art Directors to conceptualize and execute ongoing campaigns and daily deliverables. Craft compelling headlines, emails, web copy, digital ads, radio/video scripts, product naming, conference materials, and customer success stories.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with marketers and digital strategists to guide customer journeys through the marketing funnel from initial impression to conversion. Collaborate with content and media teams to script, produce,



and guide multimedia content (including input on creative vendor selection for video, audio, and photography).
- Direction & Feedback: Provide constructive direction and feedback to internal and external creative partners, including art directors, copywriters, producers, and multimedia teams.
- Brand Ambassadorship: Act as a creative champion and voice consistency expert across the business portfolio, participating actively in creative briefs, timeline scoping, and capacity discussions.

Requirements

- Experience: 5+ years of copywriting experience, with a proven track record crafting copy for B2B or senior-level business audiences (e.g., C-suite, institutional investors, tech, energy, agribusiness).
- Strategic & Conceptual Skills: Strong strategic thinking, pitch presentation skills, and concept development across multi-channel digital, print, and broadcast media.
- Writing Excellence: Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Collaboration & Communication: High-level communication skills with a team-first mindset and demonstrated success partnering with art directors, marketers, video producers, and stakeholders.
- Workflow Management: High-performing work ethic with the ability to adapt quickly, prioritize effectively, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet firm deadlines.
