Title: Senior Director, Dynamics 365 & Enterprise Applications

Employee Working Location: Partially Virtual / Hybrid (Canada)

Employment Status: Permanent Full time The Canadian Red Cross (Red Cross) – an inspirational not for profit organization, helps people and communities in Canada and around the world in times of need and supports them in strengthening their resilience. As a Canada’s Best Employers 2026, we are committed to having an accessible, diverse, inclusive, and barrier-free work environment.

We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Senior Director to lead the Canadian Red Cross’s Dynamics 365 and enterprise application portfolio end-to-end — from solution design and delivery through operation, upgrade, and adoption — reporting to the VP of IT / CIO. This is a platform leadership role for someone with genuine depth in the Microsoft Dynamics 365 ecosystem who can set architecture standards for the application estate, lead a team of functional and technical specialists and delivery partners, and keep a mission-critical platform healthy and evolving in a national, regulated, not-for-profit environment.

In this role, you will :

- D365 platform leadership: own the full lifecycle of the D365 and enterprise application estate (Finance & Operations, Customer Engagement, Field Service, Contact Centre) — solution design, implementation, operation, enhancement and upgrade/wave management.
- Solution architecture (core competency): lead the design and architecture of enterprise application solutions on the Microsoft Dynamics and Power Platform ecosystem, setting standards for the application estate (Dataverse, solution/ALM strategy, environment management, integration patterns).
- Application management: run the platform day-to-day — release and wave management, patching, incident and defect triage, backlog and enhancement prioritization, and SLAs with the business.
- Delivery & vendor management:

oversee implementation projects and system integrators/partners, ensuring timely, on-budget delivery with rigorous change control and clear fixed-price vs. T&M; decisions.
- Team leadership: build, mentor and lead a high-performing team of functional consultants, developers, QA and architects; oversee workforce planning and partner resourcing.
- Stakeholder engagement: partner with business and technology leaders to translate needs into scalable D365 solutions, and present recommendations to senior executives and board committees.
- Governance & strategy: evolve the estate to support Vision 2030 and CRC’s cloud, data and AI agenda while protecting stability, security, privacy and regulatory compliance.

What we are looking for: Mandatory

- Minimum 12 years of technology experience, including significant senior leadership, and a university degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Demonstrated, hands-on expertise across the Microsoft Dynamics 365 ecosystem — Finance & Operations and/or
- Customer Engagement, Field Service, and Contact Centre — including having personally led at least one large-scale D365 implementation end-to-end.
- Proven track record owning enterprise application management in production (release/wave management, support, enhancement governance, SLAs).
- Solution architecture capability applied to a Dynamics/Power Platform estate — Dataverse data modelling, solution/ALM strategy,

environment management, and integration design.
- Experience leading teams of technical and functional specialists and managing system integrators/implementation partners.
- Experience managing budgets and forecasting, and communicating complex technology decisions to senior and board-level stakeholders.

Preferred

- Microsoft Dynamics 365 certifications (e.g., Solution Architect Expert, Finance & Operations / Customer Engagement) and architecture certification (e.g., TOGAF).
- Experience in a national, regulated, or not-for-profit / humanitarian environment.
- Bilingualism (English / French).

Working Conditions:

- Primarily office-like / hybrid setting; some domestic or international travel to generally safe locations.
- Unpredictable work pace with significant time pressure and multiple, conflicting deadlines.
- In a large-scale emergency, may be asked to provide disaster relief and/or emergency field operational support.
- As we work with and support people (managers, colleagues, beneficiaries/customers, volunteers, donors and external partners) and communities in Canada and around the world, applicants whose first language is not English may be required to perform the responsibilities of the role in English.
- Eligibility to work in Canada: At this time, we welcome applications from candidates eligible to work in Canada. If you are not a citizen or permanent resident of Canada, we encourage you to carefully review your visa to find out whether you are eligible to work in the job you are considering applying for.
