If you're someone who thrives in a team environment and doesn't shy away from a good challenge, join us!The role will be required to successfully pass Site Access Security Clearance (CSIS Level 1).Job SummaryThe Senior Business Advisor, Nuclear Business & Governance is accountable to provide leadership and direction to a portfolio of projects and work functions related to nuclear financing and investment strategy. As a member of SaskPower's management team, this position is responsible for the effective utilization of financial, material, and human resources to manage, coordinate, and lead complex business initiatives from start to finish, ensuring alignment with departmental and corporate strategic goals and objectives. The role provides strategic advice and analysis to support major investment and financing decisions for nuclear development initiatives, including Small Modular Reactors (SMRs), and represents SaskPower in interactions with external financial partners and stakeholders.Key AccountabilitiesProvide leadership and direction to projects and major business initiatives related to nuclear financing, investment strategy, and funding approachesPlan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate projects and initiatives from start to finish according to timelines, objectives, and available resourcesLead the development of business cases, financial analysis,



and investment recommendations for large-scale capital projects, ensuring alignment with corporate strategic plans and forecasting initiativesLead the identification, assessment, and development of financing options, including debt markets, institutional investors, sovereign funds, and Indigenous equity partnershipsEstablish and manage strategic relationships with external investors, financial institutions, Indigenous partners, and industry stakeholders to support potential project fundingDevelop and implement frameworks, processes, and methodologies to support nuclear financing strategies and governance requirementsProvide strategic advice, recommendations, and reporting to senior leadership and Executive to inform investment decisions and corporate directionPrepare presentations, briefing materials, and reports for internal and external stakeholders, including senior management and executive leadershipRepresent SaskPower on matters both internal and external to the corporation, including engagement with financial partners and industry participantsMonitor project progress and provide updates on risks, opportunities, and outcomes associated with financing strategies and initiativesContribute to the development and continuous improvement of processes, standards,



and approaches related to nuclear business and governanceOther related duties as assignedKnowledge/Skills/AbilitiesDegree in Business Administration, Finance, Commerce, or other related equivalent AND/OR; Related professional designation(s) and/or certification(s) AND/OR; Seven (7) yearsrelated experience in financial analysis, investment strategy, project financing, or a related fieldAbility to strategize, plan and organizeExcellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skillsResults oriented thinker, with the ability to influence and manage complex and confidential issues with sensitivity and professionalismAbility to meet deadlines and deals with quick turnaroundAbility to manage multiple tasks effectivelyAbility to maintain confidentiality and professionalismAbility to foster a culture focused on safety, innovation and teamworkDemonstrated skill in SaskPower's competenciesMust have a continuing record of skilled developmentA suitable combination of relevant education and experience may also be consideredCandidates under consideration may be required to participate in an assessment process consisting of any/all of the following: interview, abilities test, case study and/or presentation.At SaskPower, we believe in the importance of fostering and maintaining a workforce that's representative of the communities we serve.
