Responsibilities

- Manage the raw materials piles, ensuring piles are left in workable conditions.
- Supplies raw materials to plant with front-end loader
- Assists Kiln Operator
- Loads and samples trucks
- Takes product samples and makes routine analysis
- Performs visual inspections and auditory checks on operating equipment
- Performs various clean-up work – physical manual labour will be involved
- Recognizes problems with equipment and initiates corrective action.
- Work on different shifts as necessary to backfill other positions throughout the facility.
- Performs other jobs as assigned by supervision.

Qualifications

- Must have a valid Ontario driver's license.




- Must have a grade 12 education or equivalent.
- Must have good math and communication skills
- Working knowledge of the Carmeuse site, its products, the process, the equipment / machinery, etc. would be a plus.
- Must have the qualifications or the capability to learn to operate the following mobile equipment: Loaders, Back-Hoe, Fork Truck, Water truck, etc.
- Must have the ability to understand and operate all lime / pulverized lime loading equipment.
- Must be capable of organizing daily operations to meet required customer shipments and specifications to perform all aspects of truck loading.
- Must be capable of sampling, testing and clean-up requirements.
- Must be able to perform the duties of this position, work efficiently, organize duties and be capable of working with a minimum of supervision.
- Must be able to issue and receive verbal and written instructions and make written/electronic reports, log entries etc.
- Ability to transition to a Kiln Operator position.
