:

Position: Java full stack developer

Having experience with government clients is a huge plus

Location : Toronto, ON (Hybrid – 3 days onsite, 2 days remote)

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop scalable full stack applications with a focus on performance, security, and AODA compliance.

- Translate system specifications into fully functional, tested code.

- Build and maintain RESTful APIs and integrate them with modern front-end frameworks.

- Develop and maintain relational database schemas (Oracle preferred) and optimize SQL scripts.

- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across environments.

- Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.

- Collaborate with business analysts, testers, and other developers to deliver high-quality software solutions.

- Ensure CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes are optimized and reliable.

- Provide system and user documentation, post-implementation support, and maintenance as needed.

Required Skills & Experience

Programming & Development – 65% Weighting





- 10+ years of full stack development experience with strong skills in:

- Java, J2EE, JSF

- HTML/DHTML, XML/XSL

- Oracle SQL and database development

- Experience with open-source frameworks/tools:

- Spring, MyBatis, Bootstrap, jQuery

- Proven hands-on experience in:

- n-tier web-based applications

- Web services and REST APIs

- Responsive front-end development

- AODA-compliant UI implementation

- Jasper Reports or equivalent reporting tools

- Experience in SDLC methodologies including Agile and Iterative

Analytical & Problem-Solving – 30% Weighting

- Strong analytical skills to assess system requirements and recommend effective solutions

- Ability to diagnose, debug, and resolve complex technical issues

- Team-oriented mindset with proven ability to meet deadlines

- Excellent interpersonal and consultative skills

Public Sector Experience – 5% Weighting

Experience with Ontario Public Service (OPS) or broader Public Sector standards (e.g., GO–ITS, TRA, PIA) is considered a robust asset
