Job Description

- Confirm findings with supervisor to determine whether to repair or replace unit
- Discuss work with supervisor
- Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions
- Inspect mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions
- Inspect motor in operation
- Review work orders
- Road test motor vehicles
- Test automotive systems and components
- Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of automotive systems
- Repair or replace mechanical units or components
- Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer’s specifications
- Perform scheduled maintenance service
- Test and adjust units to specifications
- Complete reports to record problems and work performed





Requirements

- Education: Completion of secondary school is required.
- Experience: At least 3 years of experience as an Automotive Service Technician are required.
- Valid driver’s license (class 7 or class 5) is required for vehicle testing and driving.
- Work site environment: Dusty, Hot, Noisy, Odours, Wet/damp.
- Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Hand-eye co-ordination, Attention to detail, Manual dexterity, Standing for extended periods, Bending, crouching, kneeling.
- Personal suitability: Accurate, Client focus, Dependability, Excellent oral and written communication, Flexibility, Judgement, Reliability, Team player.
- Language: English is required.

Salary: $36.60 per hour, 40 hours per week.

Important Information: Flexibility on schedule is required. The regular work schedule will be from Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM. Overtime hours may be required depending on the business needs.
