Nationality Requirements

Candidates must be eligible to obtain the relevant security clearance required for the role, due to the nature of the programmes we deliver for our customers.

Responsibilities

- Assemble, test, troubleshoot, and repair a wide range of electronics, mechanical, and electro‑mechanical assemblies and sub‑assemblies.
- Inspect, test, troubleshoot, and repair complete systems in accordance with specifications, diagrams, and drawings.
- Assemble strength members and operate environmental chambers.
- Configure test equipment, build electronic jigs and fixtures, and employ electrostatic discharge precautions.
- Set up and operate test equipment, maintain test records, and compile and analyze records, statistics, and failure reports.
- Apply formulas and calculations as required and manage engineering changes, ensuring proper communication and configuration control.
- Maintain line quality and output in accordance with the production schedule.
- Identify and investigate workmanship and material non‑conformances.
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring, assist in design of jigs and fixtures, and propose design changes.
- Maintain tools and work area in a safe, orderly, and clean manner.

Required Skills

- Grade 12 with a recognized community college technician/technologist qualification or equivalent experience and capability.
- Ability to obtain the appropriate Canadian government security clearance and satisfy all requirements to work on Canadian Controlled Goods projects.
- Willingness to work day, evening, and back shift schedules.





Desired Skills

- Up‑to‑date knowledge of electronic materials, principles, circuit construction, and quality control procedures.
- Positive working knowledge of recognised industry workmanship standards and soldering skills complying with those standards.
- Ability to work from verbal instructions and sketch drawings / wiring diagrams.
- Proven mechanical aptitude and proficiency in basic software applications such as email, web browser, word processing, and database operation.
- Excellent problem‑solving, communication (verbal and written), and lean manufacturing principle application skills.
- High attention to detail, positive can‑do attitude, and readiness to embrace change.
- Teamwork: capable of close collaboration and cooperation with others to achieve results, building trust and respect among teammates.

Physical Requirements

- Use of hand‑held power tools (router, Dremel, drill, drill press, etc.).
- Operation of overhead cranes and winches.
- Operation of common test equipment (DMM, oscilloscope, measuring devices, etc.).
