Education: Degree in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine or optometry Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years Tasks Clean teeth Diagnose dental diseases Examine patients'' teeth, gums and surrounding tissue Instruct patients on oral hygiene Plan dental health treatment Restore, extract and replace diseased and decayed teeth Perform oral surgery, periodontal surgery and other treatments Supervise staff Design bridgework, fit dentures and provide appliances Supervision 3-4 people Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses Licensure by provincial or territorial authorities National Dental Examining Board of Canada Certification Screening questions Do you have experience working in this field?
