Financial Controller – ConstructionLocation: Mississauga, ONWork Model: HybridSalary: Up to $130,000Employment Type: Permanent, Full-TimeReady to Own the Finance Function?Are you a CPA working in construction accounting who is ready for more ownership?Perhaps you're already a Controller looking for a hands‐on role where you can have a greater impact, or you're an experienced Accounting Manager, Finance Manager or Senior Accountant who has built strong construction accounting expertise and is ready to take the next step.Our client, an established General Contractor in Mississauga, is looking for a Financial Controller to lead its accounting function and become a key financial partner to its construction and executive teams.This isn't a role where you'll be buried several layers deep in a large finance department.You'll have visibility, autonomy and direct exposure to senior leadership while working closely with Project Managers, Estimators and construction leaders to understand what's happening across projects — and what the numbers are telling the business.What You'll OwnAs Controller, you'll take responsibility for the company's day‐to‐day financial operations and project accounting, including:Leading monthly and quarterly financial reporting and closeManaging budgeting, forecasting and cash flowOverseeing job costing, WIP reporting and EAC/cost‐to‐complete forecastingReviewing project performance, margins and profitabilityPartnering with Project Managers and Estimators to improve financial visibility across projectsIdentifying cost variances and potential margin erosionOverseeing AP, AR, payroll and general accountingSupporting and developing the Project AccountantMaintaining strong financial controls and reporting processesEnsuring compliance with ASPE/GAAPIdentifying opportunities to improve financial systems,
