Job Title: Infrastructure Technical Support Analyst Location: Toronto, ON Type: Contract 12 months (with a strong possibility of becoming an ongoing contract) Starts: January 2012 Our client is seeking an experience individual to work with their current team in a large Enterprise environment that supports multiple platforms with over 22,000 users.

The successful candidate for this role will have a strong networking background and experience working with Linux (Red

Hat) operating systems (administration).

In addition the role requires strong understanding of overall IT Infrastructure and experience working with SQL Dbase and Open

Source tools.

Role Infrastructure: -Monitor the Infrastructure and insure Systems availability using a variety of Open

Source tools -Review Infrastructure resource performance -Insure the Alert and escalation process, policies and procedures are being met IT Asset management -Utilize the Asset management tool (Open

Source tools)



and provide administration process and coordination with sites for tool usage and deployment -Perform Server room management by maintaining server room best practices and procedural documentation -Identify new needs and additional practices and procedures Server room activities -The successful candidate will be comfortable and experienced at working within a server room; experienced at supporting, configuring and managing infrastructure monitoring tools. -Support, configure and manage IT Asset management tool. -Responsible for server room documentation, practices and changes. -Providing technical couching and training to sites & regional teams for the infrastructure monitoring and asset management tools.

Required skills -Education: Relevant post secondary education is required -Excellent communications and interpersonal skills; professional, outgoing, positive personality -Minimum of 3, preferably 5 years of IT experience -Understanding of IT Asset Management processes & overall IT Infrastructure in a large Enterprise environment -Practical hands on Windows and especially Linux Red Hat administration skills & experience -Good Networking background skills (TCP IP, DNS, VLANs, etc) with a good knowledge of Linux -Good understanding of data center infrastructure and practices. -Possesses an IT Asset management and inventory background -Possesses MySQL database administration knowledge -Possesses good SNMP and web systems knowledge -Strong experience in open source tools -Solid research and analysis tools -Familiar with server virtualization (VMware) is an asset -VB Scripting knowledge considered an asset
