Work Term: Permanent Work Language: English Hours: 40 hours per week Education: Other trades certificate or diploma Experience: 5 years or more or equivalent experience Work site environment Outdoors Dusty Work setting Willing to relocate Tasks Instruct apprentices Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of repair required Order parts and maintain inventory Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts Keep maintenance reports and documentation Test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturers'' specifications Clean, lubricate and perform other maintenance work Perform repair work on heavy trucks Service attachments and working tools Perform other routine maintenance Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses Driver''s License (Class 3 or D) Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate Fall Arrest Protection Training Course First Aid Certificate Diesel engine repair specialization Fuel injection system Exhaust system Cooling system Air conditioning system Lubrication system Engine control system Major internal engine repairs or overhaul Installation and alignment of engines and machinery Powered equipment repair specialization Cable-operated working attachments Hydraulic-operated working attachments Compressors Pumps Telescopic ladder Electric generators Industrial lift trucks and fork-lifts Mechanical maintenance and repair specialization Mechanical transmissions Drive trains and final drives Hydraulic transmissions Power take-offs Tracked vehicle suspensions and steering Highway vehicle tires and wheels Differentials Brake system Security and safety Driving record check (abstract) Transportation/travel information Own transportation Valid driver''s licence Work conditions and physical capabilities Physically demanding Attention to detail Bending, crouching, kneeling Hand-eye co-ordination Handling heavy loads Manual dexterity Standing for extended periods Weight handling Up to 23 kg (50 lbs) Own tools/equipment Steel-toed safety boots Personal suitability Accurate Client focus Dependability Flexibility Judgement Reliability Team player Organized Screening questions Are you available for shift or on-call work?
