Key Activities Reporting to the Director, Philanthropy & Campaign, the Manager, Philanthropy & Partnerships provides strategic leadership to a high-performing Philanthropy team.

The Manager is also a frontline fundraiser who is responsible for a portfolio of donors and prospects and secures five- and six-figure gifts that advance the National Arts Centres mission.

Key Responsibilities: Manage the day-to-day operations of the Philanthropy team.

Foster a high-performance, collaborative and supportive team culture through coaching, accountability, professional development and regular performance feedback.

In collaboration with the Director, lead and support the Philanthropy team to meet or exceed an annual target of up to $8 million raised from individual donors, foundations, and corporate partners.

Manage a portfolio of major gift donors and prospects, developing and implementing individualized cultivation, solicitation and stewardship strategies to secure transformational philanthropic support.

Develop and implement strategies to identify, cultivate and solicit a range of current individual donors, foundations, and corporate partners.

Develop and manage strategic corporate partnerships that align organizational priorities with meaningful sponsorship and philanthropic opportunities.

Work with the CEO, Director, and Philanthropy team to monitor and achieve key metrics and financial targets.

Support the continued growth of an established planned giving program.

Support senior leadership on campaign strategy, execution, and reporting.





Work with the Donor Engagement team to effectively steward supporters, strengthen donor communications, and identify opportunities for renewal and growth.

Skill Requirements 7+ years'' experience in major gift fundraising; Experience in a full-time staff management role, supporting a team to achieve financial and non-financial goals; Proven track record of personal success in securing major philanthropic contributions at the $500K level and above; Experience developing major gift strategies, and execution, including cultivation, personal solicitation, and stewardship; Experience working with senior volunteers (E.g.

Board, Cabinet, or Event Committee members) to successfully close gifts; Understanding and experience with donor databases, ideally Raisers Edge NXT; Commitment to upholding professional ethics and encouraging philanthropic best practices; Possess a high level of intellectual curiosity toward the work being done at the NAC, in the philanthropic sector and in Canadas performing arts community; High regard for accuracy and attention to detail with excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize a varied and dynamic workload; Strong problem-solving abilities, critical thinking skills, emotional intelligence, and professionalism; Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written; Fluently bilingual in both official languages, English and French, written and spoken; Bachelor''s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience; fundraising education is preferred; Experience in planned giving is an asset; Campaign management experience is an asset.
