As we continue to grow, we're looking for a Reproductive Technician to join our R&D; Team at our Watrous (Manitou), SK location. This is an exciting prospect for someone passionate about animal reproduction, embryology, and research who wants to contribute to cutting-edge reproductive technologies while working alongside a collaborative and highly skilled team.

Duties & Responsibilities

- Handle, evaluate, and select oocytes and embryos following established SOPs.
- Prepare and maintain all media, laboratory supplies, and equipment required for embryology procedures.
- Assist with sperm handling and preparation for reproductive activities.
- Support pregnancy diagnosis, ovulation monitoring, and reproductive health assessments using ultrasonography.
- Assist with animal treatments and medication administration as required.
- Perform animal handling activities, including feeding,



cleaning, moving, and loading animals as required.
- Assist with reproductive surgeries, including anesthesia preparation and monitoring, surgical support, post-operative recovery, and maintaining sterile procedures.
- Support the R&D; team with research projects, trials, and experimental activities.
- Assist with artificial insemination procedures using cryopreserved germplasm.
- Maintain the laboratory, surgery room, induction area, recovery area, and associated equipment to the highest standards of cleanliness, organization, and biosecurity.
- Accurately collect, record, and communicate research and production data with solid attention to detail.
- Work independently while travelling to the farm as required, maintaining a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Perform other related reproductive, research, and general farm duties as required.
